This book is "by" me in the same way that the anthologies are by me.  Well, not exactly in the same way, as the majority of work in this book was done by Brian Thomas (the author listed on the cover).   However, I was fortunate enough to help Brian with a bucket-load of reviews of some very cool and very odd Asian movies.

This guide is an amazing compendium of Asian cinema.  It is a must for any serious student of the genre.   Hardly a week goes by when I don't consult it, and many times I wish I had it with me at the video store.

And, if anyone ever tells you it's easy to watch dozens (or, in Brian's case, hundreds) of movies and then write about them....

Well, that uninformed lout has obviously never done it.  Reviewing a film well is difficult, and let's not even talk about organizing and indexing this kind of thing.  (Thank God Brian did all that!)

Anyway, if you have any interest in the subject, you should check it out.  The reviews I did (somewhere over 50, I think) are the ones with "SS" at the end.
